Students in Pre-Kindergarten have no uniform requirements, but are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing appropriate to their school environment.  Students in all other grades are required to wear school uniforms, which can be purchased from Flynn & O’Hara Uniform Company. 

Uniform - Girls

Grades K-4

Plaid jumper or green dress slacks - May be worn all year long with:   

1. Short or long sleeve white blouse (Peter Pan collar) 

2. White turtleneck with SMS logo 

3. White knit SMS shirt (short or long sleeve)

4. Dark green uniform sweater or vest with SMS logo may be worn with any of the above shirts.

5. Dark green socks or tights

Green walking shorts – May be worn with white knit SMS shirt (May be worn from September 1 to October 31; and from April 1 to the end of school year)

Grades 5-6

Plaid skort or green dress slacks - May be worn all year long with:

1. Short or long sleeve white blouse (Oxford collar)

2. White turtleneck with SMS logo

3. White knit SMS shirt (short or long sleeve)

4. Dark green uniform sweater or vest with SMS logo may be worn with any of the above shirts.

5. Dark green or white socks or tights

Grades 7-8

Khaki skort or khaki dress slacks - May be worn all year long with:

Grades 7-8

Shoes – all students

Shoes must be safe, practical and a sturdy school-style.  High heels (over 1”), sandals, clogs, sneakers, ballet type or boot type shoes are not permitted.  The shoes are to have rubber soles and rubber heels.  Shoes may be black, brown, navy blue or dark green.    

Gym wear – all students

Students must wear sneakers that fit securely for Physical Education day.  Students are to wear the SMS gray t-shirts, the SMS gym sweatshirts and the SMS green gym sweatpants during Physical Education class.  The SMS dark green gym shorts may be worn when summer uniform is in effect or as allowed by the gym teacher.
